Resident Stallions

All our stallions are carefully trained for live cover as well as collections.

Using our stallions means you will not have to compromise on quality nor world class genetics. Our stallions are equal to anything offered via AI

The beauty of live cover is obvious. The % rates on live cover are un comparable to any form of Artificial Insemination regardless of the results you will hear. It can quickly become a costly exercise with little return on losses.

For the best chance of a successful collection you need to be using the most passionate and dedicated team you can find to collect, package and send the semen in the best possible way to maximise a positive result for the mare waiting to receive it.

For a successful AI you need to find and use (the same) passionate and committed repro vet or AI technician

This is why we use Angela Hall from Breakaway stud for all our AI stud work and collections

AI is not always straight forward and not every mare will take to using an AI technique (be it chilled or frozen semen). Sadly this is when much time and more importantly money is wasted on costly procedures, vet agistment bills etc. etc. still, on many occasions, resulting in no pregnancy

Offering Natural service from our stallions means the chance of a positive result is already much higher which in turn equals to less time and money that the mare owner has to spend.

However for all clients who cannot bring their mares to our stud we offer a highly professional Collection Service for chilled AI nationally. So far we have had a 100% strike rate with every mare (bar one) conceiving on her first insemination. Our stallions are carefully feed on a premium stud diet and kept fit to ensure optimum semen quality throughout the stud season

Public Stud

If you are interested in standing your own stallion at 'Public Stud' but don’t have the time or facilities (or knowledge) we offer this service to outside stallions every season. Please ring for an informal chat about your requests.

For all AI collections

We use Breakaway Stud in Northam for all our collection and chilled AI work. Their contact details can be found on our Link page.

Prices start from $195 per collection. This is not including stud fees, fuel cost and shipment.

For all General stud work

We use Ascot horse vets for all our general stud duties including on site, scanning and follicle testing and any extra pre and post cover procedure that may be needed.
